We’re delighted to welcome Edward Packshaw as the Head of Client Delivery at SmartResileince. We are excited to have him on board as he begins working with us this month.
Edward brings with him a deep and varied background in sustainability, with a career that spans field biology, sustainable development, education, corporate responsibility, and ESG consulting. His professional journey began as a field biologist, researching how rare bird populations are affected by deforestation and climate change—laying the foundations for a career firmly rooted in protecting nature and tackling climate risk.
From there, Edward moved into sustainable development and education, before taking on the role of Head of CSR at Mace Group, where he led on responsible business strategy at scale. In 2020, he transitioned into consulting, focusing primarily on climate risk, reporting, and disclosure, most recently serving as Head of ESG Risk, Reporting and Communications at Simply Sustainable.
In his twenties, he spent much of his time living and working abroad—including two years in Mauritius, where he lived in a shipping container in the rainforest while conducting biological research, and five years in Gabon, a country he describes as one of the most beautiful places on earth. When he’s not working, Edward is a (self-described) amateur wildlife photographer, often using photography as an excuse to get closer to incredible animals and wild places. He enjoys outdoor pursuits like hiking and is also a passionate Fulham Football Club supporter.
