London, United Kingdom - 20 August 2026

SmartResilience, the climate risk management software company, has been shortlisted in three categories at the CIR Risk Management Awards 2026. CIR Magazine organises the awards, which recognise the best people, products and programmes in risk management.

SmartResilience is a finalist in:

  • Climate Risk Award, sponsored by Horizonscan

  • Award for Risktech

  • Risk Management Specialist Company of the Year

SmartResilience won the Climate Risk Award in 2025. This year's winners will be announced at the awards ceremony on Thursday 19 November 2026 at the London Marriott Hotel Grosvenor Square.

Turning climate risk data into operational decisions

Sustainability, risk and compliance teams at multi-site operators use SmartResilience to quantify the financial cost of extreme weather at each site, rank adaptation measures by return on investment, and receive site-specific early warnings before weather events reach their assets. The same platform produces audit-ready disclosures aligned with IFRS S2, CSRD, ASRS and UK SRS, and its outputs update as portfolios and regulations change.

More than 3,500 sites in over 50 countries use the platform. Sainsbury's runs SmartResilience early warning across more than 1,000 sites. When Storm Franklin hit in February 2022, 12 hours of advance warning meant a store that had suffered an estimated £3m in damage from Storm Eva in 2015 had no damage to property or stock, and was operating again the next day.

Harish Pesala, CEO and Founder of SmartResilience, said:

“Being shortlisted in three categories, a year after winning the Climate Risk Award, is a real honour and a testament to our team's ongoing effort to stay ahead of climate change and protect the businesses that rely on us from its impact.”
